The District contracts with CalPERS to provide retirement benefits and does not participate in the Social Security program.

Classic Employees

Eligible employees hired by a CalPERS or reciprocal agency prior to January 1, 2013 will receive the 2.7% at 55 retirement formula (employee contribution of 2% of annual salary).

New Members

New members hired on or after January 1, 2013 will be contracted under the 2% at 62 retirement formula.

457(b) Plan - Deferred Compensation

A 457(b) plan is available to all employees, but enrollment is voluntary.   • Executive and senior management - $225 / month
  • Management - $200 / month
  • Professional / Supervisory and General / Confidential employees - $175 / month
