East Valley Water District is committed to modernizing our services through the effective use of technology. The benefits of technology and data-driven decision making contribute to the continuous process improvements related to how we serve the community, operate efficiently, and provide safe and reliable services.
The Information Technology department (IT) provides technology support and solutions to the District. The department is responsible for:
- Managing data storage and network connectivity
- Support and maintenance
- Hardware and applications deployment
- Cybersecurity services
- Project management
The primary objective of the IT Strategic Plan is to serve as a roadmap that will assist the District to effectively allocate resources and time to close the gap between its current and future technology needs. A collaborative approach is used to define technology initiatives and properly align District needs with technology.
The IT department is committed to continuously improving the District's cybersecurity posture to safeguard data and ensure the viability of the critical infrastructure used to provide services to the community.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework serves as a guide to mitigate and manage cyber risks. An external network penetration test, cybersecurity assessment, and investments in cybersecurity solutions contribute to the District's ongoing efforts to modernize systems in a dynamic environment of new threats and risks.
