Smart Meter Portal
Putting Efficiency At Your Finger Tips
Striving to empower customers and to provide them with the tools to monitor their consumption and manage their monthly bill, the District began the process of upgrading existing water meters with an Advanced Meter Communications Device, also known as a Smart Meter.
Using newer technology provided by smart meters, customers can electronically access consumption information by logging into their current EVWD online billing portal account.
With just a few clicks, the new Smart Meter Portal provides customers with the ability to:
- Access usage history
- Set usage threshold alerts
- Manage their account
- Compare water use to the weather
- Submit service requests
- And more at no added cost to customers

Advanced Meter communication devices electronically provide customers and the District with meter reads (water usage data) on an hourly basis. Standard meters use a traditional meter reading process, which is a labor-intensive and is performed manually on a monthly basis by a staff member at each location.
