During the July 25 regular Board Meeting, EVWD Board of Directors approved the selection of Balfour Beatty / Arcadis as the design-build partner to lead the design and construction of the SNRC. They bring over 100 years of experience in projects that support sustainability and a well-rounded team of infrastructure experts that understand the significance of this project to the community. At the meeting, Balfour Beatty / Arcadis presented a conceptual fly-through of the state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility will treat up to 8 million gallons a day initially, with the ability to increase to 10 million gallons a day.
With a design focused on reliability and efficiency, the SNRC will help recharge the local Bunker Hill Groundwater Basin and create new opportunities for the surrounding community in the form of education and training, community space, neighborhood improvements, and new habitat for the Santa Ana Sucker fish.
